I remember when people would ask entertainers to come out and chill in the ranger camps. It was rare to see the master camps so when we did everyone would converge. If there were more than 2 groups out at the graveyard, lots of smack talk would ensue. But usually, everyone ended up dead so it didn't much matter.

First Krayt I ever saw?
I landed in Bestine one evening on an errand to meet with a Rebel contact, but immediately heard sounds of battle nearby.
Rushing outside the starport, I found this ancient krayt dragon being attacked by what must have been everyone on the server. Bodies were everywhere from people who got too close. I even saw what I think was a Jedi leading the charge. I think it was a Jedi. He had one of those glowy-stick sword thingies and was waving it around like crazy.
I remember my first sighting of a krayt, well before vehicles or even mounts were in game. I'm talking back when corpse runs were still enabled.
I was trotting through the Tatooine desert solo with my still rookie scout toon. Exploring and camping trying to figure out the game and having a great time. I'm pretty sure I was still just a marksman as well, and absolutely no armor. Never heard of buffs and no one had thought about chef foods. Come to think of it, I didn't even know what POI's were back then either. I literally just wanted to find out what was in the four corners of the map and see whether or not the world was flat or round. Unfortunately it was flat, but boy was I in for a surprise.
My journey started from Mos Espa? Maybe it was Eisley? Whichever one is the closest to the gy, it's been a while. Along the way I kept my distance from just about every mob I saw because I figured if bocats just outside the city could rip me to shreds then I wouldn't stand a chance further out. Still I wanted to see what was there.
I was using /maskscent and keeping my distance from all the dots on my radar being amazed at the herds of banthas random pirates there were dewbacks. Everything was to a decent scale to my toon, then I bounded over a couple of dunes and my screen was filled with these gigantic beasts. The dunes that were like mountains to me were mere anthills to these monsters. I checked my radar because surely I was closer to them than the other mobs because they just couldn't be that big. 90m from the closest krayt and they still dwarfed all other mobs that I had seen from shorter distances.
The landscape was pristine. No houses or harvies or windmills. No krayt hunters/farmers - just me, the sand, and the krayts. Wish I had known how to take ss's back then, it surely was a moment that I wish I could have captured.
